    1. Thanks for the feedback! Don’t worry, I just bought another domain which will host the archives section of the website (www.aacatarchives). It will be on port 100 hosted on my personal server! The archives section is nowhere close to being up yet so it will be a few days before that URL actually points to anything.

  1. It feels nice, fam. Everything’s organized in a more linear way and the layout is more aesthetically pleasing. Port 80 isn’t bad either.

  2. Hey, nice site! Did you write this WordPress theme yourself? Anyways, I have a few suggestions for this site.

You should use Disqus for WordPress comments. That way, you don’t have to worry too much about spam, and if you do get a lot of comments, you don’t slow down the whole website.

You should also also setup Nginx as a reverse proxy on top of Apache.

The website should be on http://www.aacomputersandtechnology.com. aacomputersandtechnology.com and should be 301 redirects to http://www.aacomputersandtechnology.com to avoid confusion and improve Google indexing results. This should be easily setup on Apache’s virtual hosts, or on Nginx if you choose to setup Nginx as a reverse proxy.

Also you should install W3 Total Cache to cache the .PHP pages to be served as .HTML so the server does not have to generate a new page every time a visitor visits it. If you do use W3 Total Cache, you should also use Disqus so the comments remains updated.

If you have any questions regarding anything, you can email me at: admin@timtechtips.tk.

    1. Thanks for the advice! No, fortunately I did not need to write my own theme. I am using the MineZine theme, I modified the text layout a little in the CSS but that was the only tweak I made. I actually did look into Discus but it appears the developer is no longer supporting the plugin and therefore it no longer works on current versions of wordpress (according to the comments). The way I have things set up aacomputersandtechnology.com and the ip address should both already point to http://www.aacomputersandtechnology.com. Caching the webpages would be a good idea, it would save a lot of transfer data.
Once again thanks for the feedback!
